There is a TSB related to this even though it wasn't possible to prove it was the cause. I believe this defect is indicative of a larger quality issue in these engines. I've always changed the oil on time with synthetic, including the filter everytime. "DTC P0341: CMP Sensor A and CKP Sensor Incorrect Phase Detected" The blanket fix is to replace the VTC oil control solenoid, VTC actuator, cam chain and auto tensioner. Started throwing a code indicating the timing was out of spec. Timing chain cover and seal were leaking, had it fixed.įuel cap needed replacing, tripping the system warning light. Dealer cost (hose only sold with tank) would have been $1,200. They dropped the tank, cut the hose, put in a double barb fitting and buttoned it up. Honda wouldn't cover it so went to an independent.
